Prospective International bachelor students should submit their application as follows:
1. The applicant should fill in the online application form available on uib.iku.edu.tr/en
2. The applicant should upload required documents to the online application form.
3. The required documents for Undergraduate Applications are:
• Official high school diploma (with the official transcript)
• All High school Transcripts/Grades (last 4 high school years)
• Passport photocopy
• Blue Card and Certificate (if applicable)
• Residence Permit (if you reside in Turkey)

Documents Required for Associate/Bachelor Registration:
1. Passport
2. High school diploma (original hard copy+ apostille translation in English or Turkish)
3. Official Transcript of records (original hard copy+ apostille translation in English or Turkish)
4. Student visa/ Turkish residence permit (if available)
5. ID size photo (6 pcs)
6. State Health Insurance
7. English/ Turkish proficiency certificate with the minimum required score (if available):
Students who don't have a language certificate mentioned above at registration need to take IKU language proficiency exam.
Minimum required score:
- IKU English proficiency: min. 60 for bachelor programmes except English language and Literature and English Language Education programmes which require min 80 points out of 100.
IKU Turkish proficiency: min. 60 for bachelor programmes.
Students who fail IKU proficiency exam will start IKU English/ Turkish preparatory school which may take 1 or 2 semesters to pass and start major program depending on the level registered.
Registration is done in person at International Office at Ataköy Campus.
* According to the decision of the Turkish Council of Higher Education dated 16/11/2015, Turkish Universities can only admit international students once a year. Therefore there is only one intake which is Fall of each academic year. Change of department or re-entry applications can only be accepted for the next Fall term.

**English Language Education Programme requires proficiency in both English and Turkish since the medium of instruction is both Turkish and English.
Master students should have at least 70 points from the English proficiency exam whereas English Language Education and English Language and Literature graduate programmes require 80 points.
The exams are organized by the School of Foreign Languages; in case of above mentioned grade is not accomplished, student must attend one year English preparatory class.
Students (except English Language and Literature and English Language Education) who graduate from English medium undergraduate programmes within the last 2 years (the date of application is the reference point)are not required to take the English proficiency exam.
PhD candidates need to collect at least 66 from TOEFL IBT or 60 from YDS for their application to be evaluated.
